They’ve got a pool table and a beer pong table. Plus it’s in thebasement, so it’s kinda cool. I like the glass embedded in the bar. More or less, just a college bar, though, the bartenders are pretty cool.

Where: 17 W 32nd St. / 5th Ave.
Draw: In Koreatown of all places, with a grrgeous view of the Empire State Building, this rooftop bar is a great place to relax in the summer sun.
Where: 168 Delancey St. / Clinton St.
Draw: Tropical looking plants, near the Williamsburg Bridge and big crowds, what more do you need in NYC? Oh, how about it being on the roof? Works for me.

Where: 232 E 9th St / 2nd & 3rd Ave.
Drinks: $6 Mojito, Sangria, Cosmo, Margarita & $5 beers on tap
When: Mon - Thu
Cool place, comfy chairs and decent drinks. Generic NYC lounge though. Bartender William is a good Irish lad. Smallish, though they open up a second bar next door in the summer time when the crowds increase. They have a third bar upstairs that’s good for parties, but it’s not open during the week.

Where: 183 Bleecker / MacDougal
Drinks: $2 pints & $2.50 well
Eats: $.20 wings (tastee)
When: Sunday
A bunch of big flat-screens and comfy chairs to watch the games in. It’s a bit of a sports crowd, but not too frat-boy. Service can be a bit slow during games / busy happy hours so order 2 of what you need.
Insider Secret: If you get a group (say 4+), ask to go downstairs. They have a very comfy lounge, a nice, big flat-screen TV (for the baseball games) and it’s far less crowded.
Due to a complete lack of any kind of good information on happy hours (food and drink) in NYC, I decided to create my own list. If you stumble across this, drop me a note and let me know that you appreciate it, or even better, let me know about deals that I don’t have up here yet.
